What is Forest Therapy? Forest Therapy is a slow guided walk that includes mindfulness, sensory and creative experiences.
During this group session, we walk less than 1.5 kilometers on gently undulating trails. You will be guided through the forest and invited to take part in a series of slow, quiet activities that engage your senses and creativity. This practice encourages presence and mindfulness, allowing for a deeper connection with nature. The pace is gentle and allows everyone space to engage at their own comfort level. Each session is unique, shaped by the season, weather, natural surroundings and those present.
The session is suitable for participants 16 years and above.

History of Forest Therapy: Forest Therapy is a contemporary practice that originated in Japan, where it is called Shinrin-Yoku (immersion in the atmosphere of the forest). It was established as a preventative health practice and is now practiced in many countries around the world. Research shows that this 2 to 3-hour guided wellbeing experience has many benefits including: improved mental and physical health, reduce stress levels, regulate pulse and blood pressure and elevate mood.
