Five Mile Creek - West Walk
π π’π―π ππ’π₯π ππ«πππ€ runs west to east through Romsey and has shaped the townβs history since the 1850s. The creek itself is about ππ.π π€π¦ π₯π¨π§π , flowing east through Romsey before joining Deep Creek, which eventually flows into the Maribyrnong River,
Lancefield Skate Park
Lancefield Skate Park is located off Chauncey Street, Lancefield. It features street and transition elements that makes for a varied, well planned and built skate park. Featuring a fun box, quarter-pipe, pump track, snake run, hubbas, rails, and stairs this park has plenty to offer skaters. One distinguishing feature of this park is the half-pipe of 12 metres long that connects to a unique ending area, however not the smoothest surface. Lancefield Skatepark is a benchmark for new skateparks and offers a lot to modern day skateboarding with a great flow throughout the park.
ROMSEY Skate park
Located in Lions Park Reserve, Romsey.
Huge skate park features a bowl, quarter pipe, mini ramp, and a variety of hips and corners, and supporting infrastructure such as shade shelters, seating, lighting, landscaping, and pathways.
Mount Charlie Flora Reserve
Located a short drive from our villages on the Eastern slopes of the Macedon Ranges, youβll find the Mount Charlie Flora Reserve. Aptly named for itβs abundance of natural flora, birdlife and fauna, thereβs a series of well formed walking tracks winding through natural bushland.
Be aware that access is via a gravel road, so please be careful and drive to the conditions.
the Federation Trail
The Federation Trail runs parallel to Melbourne Lancefield Road between Romsey and Lancefield and takes in rolling countryside, rural vistas. The 16km trail is a shared path that accommodates cyclists and walkers, with beautiful deciduous trees and steel sculptures along the way.
Romsey Ecotherapy Park
An all-abilities, all-ages space for exploring nature, inspiring movement and immersing yourself in an active nature space. The Sensory Therapeutic Space (featuring sensory gardens, permanent art installations including kinetic and sound sculpture elements, ephemeral billabong, sand play and a water feature) is a valuable nature-based resource for the elderly, those recovering from illness or those merely wanting respite from daily life.
The Woodland Ramble, at the southern end of the park, forms a creative natural space for freeform interactions.
Hanging Rock
The world famous Hanging Rock lies only 15 minutes drive from Lancefield or Romsey and is a favourite gathering place for families. Explore the iconic volcanic formation from the base or to the top with the reward of stunning views for those who venture to the top.
